Synopsis
The story follows Logan Bale, an ancient immortal who has lived for more than a thousand years. Before one of his disciples dies, Logan makes a solemn promise: he will protect the disciple’s family for three years. To fulfill that vow, Logan agrees to marry his disciple’s granddaughter and live with her family as an ordinary man.
However, instead of gratitude, Logan is treated with contempt and humiliation. The family sees him as a useless stay-at-home husband, constantly mocking and belittling him. Despite their cruelty, Logan remains calm and patient, hiding his true identity and extraordinary powers while silently enduring their insults.
Unknown to everyone around him, Logan is far from ordinary. He possesses immense strength and knowledge gained from centuries of cultivation and battles. Yet he refuses to reveal his abilities because he is bound by the promise he made—to quietly protect the family for three years and then leave once the time is up.
As conflicts and dangers begin to threaten the family, Logan is gradually forced to step in. One by one, the people who once mocked him start to realize that the “useless house husband” they looked down on may actually be an unfathomably powerful immortal.
